Sweet week

Hi there!
It's been a good week so far, and I thought I'd post while I had some time. Went to the doctor this morning - going weekly now! - and they said the same thing as last week... 1 centimeter dilated, heart rate is strong... He's happy where he is! Can hardly blame the little guy since, when I drove Craig to work this morning, it was 6 degrees with a windchill of -12! This weekend is supposed to be WARM, though!! Raining, but still... mid 40's???!! SO excited.

Last weekend, I met up with a group of expectant mommies, and it was so fun to sit and chitchat about all the things that have been going on, and what we're looking forward to. The group was really fun, and I can't wait to see more of them and help welcome their cuties into the world along with baby Hank. There were two girls in particular whose due dates were 3 days on either side of our due date... The one who was due 3 days after me had her baby the next day! Crazy. Just goes to show that he could come at any time!

Yesterday, my friend Elizabeth treated me and baby Hank to lunch at Neiman's - a pre-baby celebration. We had such a wonderful time - thank you Liz! I never knew they served popovers there, but now I do and it's definitely on my list to return. Scrumptious and a bit reminiscent of Bergdorf's lunch place.

I finally made good on a promise to Craig to try making strawberry cupcakes again (an attempt to replicate our favorite in NYC). Made them yesterday afternoon, and this is what surprised Craig after a long day at work:





If I do say so myself, they are DARN GOOD and super duper close to our favorite... I made Craig take the majority to work today so that I wouldn't inhale all of them :) I may go have one now, though...
