Finally here! This was our first really good look at the Chicago skyline from our drive in... Of course, we did experience some Chicago traffic on our way in, but after a quick diversion through a seedy part of town, we were on our way...
We got to the apartment, picked up our keys and made our way to the 13th floor (really the 15th floor, as there is a mezzanine and a first floor above that, so for anyone who is superstitious, we're ok on that front).
The apartment is great and really does have this view:

If you look closely, you can see tiny specs on the street... that was the tail end of the Chicago Marathon that happened the day after we arrived. We were able to see the marathon from the apartment, and we also saw the eventual winners up close on their way through Lincoln Park - pretty cool.
Another pretty interesting thing is that we can hear the animals in the Zoo - they woke Craig up one night when we were still on the air mattress in the living room (thankfully, the bedroom doesn't face the Zoo!).
Our first couple of days here, we walked around a ton and tried to get to know the neighborhood. We both LOVE Lincoln Park, and the apartment is great, so we owe Jen a big thanks for taking a look at it for us!
There are lots of great restaurants and a lot to do here, so let us know when you can come and visit!! I will post some pictures of the actual interior of the apartment when the main decoration isn't a combination of books and clutter!
