If you haven't officially heard, we are now in Chicago! Yay! The drive over was really fun, so I thought I would add a quick post about it...
We ended up leaving New York on Thursday afternoon instead of Friday morning as we had originally planned. The idea of getting out of the city (and sleeping in a real bed insted of our air mattress in an empty apartment) was just too great. Surprisingly the traffic wasn't too bad (I wasn't driving, though...) and we ended up staying in Strousburg, PA - a lovely little college town in the Poconos. I had never been to the Poconos and had only heard of the lovely places with the heart and champagne glass-shaped in-room whirlpools. We opted for the Hampton Inn so as to completely avoid those places, and it turned out great! Anyone in NYC who wants to get away, I would recommend it - cute little shops, restaurants, etc.
Unfortunately, the only picture I took with my camera (instead of my new phone!) was of this kinda creepy/kinda interesting church:

So we got up the next morning and made our way to Cleveland. On the map, I spotted one last town in PA that we had to visit:

Yep, that's right. There is a Farrell, PA, spelled correctly and everything! Unfortunately, it is a run-down steel mill town, but I won't take that as a reflection of the name...
In Cleveland, we were pleased to find our lovely Starwood hotel awaiting us (thank you Caroline!). We ate delicious German food and cheered the Indians to victory along with everyone else in town.
The next day, we were in Chicago!
