Let it snow!

It's been snowing so much! I thought I'd tell you about my fantastically fun trip to work on Friday... Yes, I started work last Thursday - I was going to the studio to get a crash-course in all things neckwear.

I left earlier than I needed to in order to deal with the snow that was still coming down. On a normal day, it should take about 25 minutes on the bus. I gave myself an hour... NOT enough time. I stood at the bus stop for over an hour before I could squeeze onto a bus. There were plenty of buses, but so many people were taking them that they were all packed to the gills. Incredible! Most of the buses just passed us all (about 25 people) by. Several people just decided to go home. Not I! I evenutally caught the bus and made it safely over to the west side :) Quite a morning, though... Below are some pictures of Friday - the first is from our window that morning, the second just around the corner from us... By the end of Friday, those sidewalks were clear - gotta love Chicago!

So it's snowing once again tonight, another 3 inches, I think. Unfortunately, it'll turn to rain tomorrow... Now I just have to figure out how to look at least somewhat chic for my first "real" day at work with some gross weather!
